Job Details
Our client is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support licensed providers in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a clinical setting. This role is essential to maintaining efficient daily operations, supporting patient flow, and ensuring a positive care experience. The CMA assists with both clinical and administrative responsibilities while contributing to a collaborative healthcare team focused on quality, access, and community wellness.
In addition to supporting in-clinic care, this role may participate in periodic community outreach initiatives designed to promote health education and preventative care. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, compassionate professional who thrives in a hands-on, patient-facing environment.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Performing basic patient assessments, including vital signs and infection control procedures
Assisting providers with patient care across adult, geriatric, and occasional pediatric populations
Conducting phlebotomy, specimen collection, and basic laboratory procedures
Supporting EKGs and other clinical tasks as directed by licensed providers
Assisting with medical supply monitoring and ordering under clinical leadership guidance
Providing interpretation support for patients and staff, as applicable
Participating in community outreach events or health fairs a few times per year
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; graduation from a medical technical program preferred
Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification and CPR certification required
6 months to 1 year of experience in a healthcare or clinical support role
Proficiency in phlebotomy and basic laboratory procedures
Working knowledge of OSHA, HIPAA, and CLIA guidelines
Foreign language proficiency may be required or preferred
Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record
