We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team in San Leandro, California. In this role, you will oversee financial transactions and ensure the accuracy of accounting records. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping and familiarity with QuickBooks, as well as experience in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
Responsibilities:
Oversee full-cycle accounting, including A/P and A/R
- Perform regular bank, credit card, and vendor reconciliations
- Process bi-weekly payroll and manage employee time tracking
- Prepare and file sales tax reports; assist with year-end close
- Generate financial statements, including balance sheets and P& L reports
- Maintain accurate records in QuickBooks Online
- Resolve billing issues with vendors, customers, and management
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
- 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience; small business background preferred
- Proficient in QuickBooks Online
- Solid knowledge of GAAP
- Experience with payroll processing and tax compliance
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Self-motivated with ability to maintain confidentiality
- Comfortable using Google Workspace or Microsoft Office
Preferred:
- Industry experience in manufacturing, printing, or apparel
- Familiarity with inventory management or job costing
