We're driven by excellence, leadership, and integrity and we're looking for an enthusiastic Direct Sales Representative to join our competitive, high-energy team.
The Day-to-Day
As a Direct Sales Representative at Summit, you'll operate as a full-time independent contractor in outside sales, enjoying the freedom to plan your own schedule and set your working hours each week. Your main focus will be connecting with business owners and key decision-makers within your territory through in-person, business-to-business sales calls.
Using our custom Salesforce CRM, you'll build rapport with potential clients, present our supplemental insurance solutions, and close sales often during the first meeting. You'll also schedule follow-ups when needed to complete sales and strengthen client relationships.
In addition to securing new business, you'll maintain relationships with existing clients by responding promptly to calls, texts, and emails, and assisting them through the claims process. You'll check in regularly with clients to ensure satisfaction, show genuine care, and identify opportunities to expand their coverage with additional lines of protection that meet their needs.
Qualifications

Proven work experience in sales or a similar customer-facing role

Outside sales, door-to-door, or business-to-business experience preferred

Excellent communication, organization, and presentation skills

Self-motivated and capable of managing your own schedule and training

Experience with CRM systems or e-learning platforms a plus

Weekly draw pay, plus commissions (short sales cycle typically paid within a week)

Additional Requirements

Health & Life General Lines License (or willingness to obtain within 90 days Summit reimburses state licensing fees)

Bachelor's degree or minimum of 4 years of professional experience

Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check
(Candidates within 6 months of degree completion or those with relevant outside sales experience will also be considered.)
