This role involves collaboration with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members, including healthcare providers, to plan, execute, and assess care.

The RN will demonstrate proficiency and operate within the full spectrum of nursing knowledge, adhering to age and population-specific standards relevant to their clinical environment. Responsibilities include caring for residents across all stages of preventive care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment. The RN will coordinate care, conduct resident assessments, provide education, and perform various nursing interventions.

Additionally, the RN may take on the role of charge nurse, delegating appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel based on their job descriptions, skills, and the needs of residents. The RN will ensure that delegates receive adequate support to guarantee safe and effective resident care and address any service concerns. This position operates within the guidelines set forth by the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules of the state of practice, recognizing the Scope and Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics for Nurses as established by the American Nurses Association.
