Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This position offers an opportunity to work as a Special Education Teacher serving students in grades K through 2 at an elementary school setting. The role is ideal for educators experienced in managing classrooms with diverse moderate needs and a variety of individualized education program (IEP) requirements. The contract is for the new school year with a start date of September 1st, following orientation on August 26-27 and staff opening day on September 2nd.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction to a class of 8 students with moderate and varied needs, supported by paraeducators.
  • Implement a multi-grade curriculum tailored for young learners in K-2nd grade.
  • Monitor student progress through regular data collection and maintain accurate IEP documentation.
  • Collaborate with school staff and families to support individualized learning goals.
  • Manage class schedules from 8:20 AM to 3:20 PM, providing a supportive learning environment.

Qualifications:

  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
  • Experience working with students in early elementary grades (K-2).
  • Proficiency in developing and managing IEPs.
  • Strong skills in data collection and progress monitoring.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with paraeducators and school staff.
