Key Program is seeking Community Outreach Counselors (Outreach Caseworkers) in Worcester, MA, to work with children, youth and families referred by the MA Department of Children and Families (DCF) for comprehensive community-based services. Outreach Caseworkers provide direct intervention and case management to children/youth and their families, promote their emotional, behavioral and psychological well-being, and help them navigate the challenges they face. $3,000 Hiring Bonus ($1,500 after the completion of 3 months of employment, $1,500 after the completion of 6 months of employment)
Wage: Competitive hourly wage: $24.50
Additional compensation is provided for bilingual skills, on-call rotation, and our generous employee referral bonus program.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related human services field required (i.e. psychology, sociology, human services, social work, etc.) AND one year of human service experience; includes employment, internship or volunteer work
Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Valid state driver’s license and legally registered and insured car for daily work use
This job requires extensive daily driving and includes a .70 cents per mile mileage reimbursement.
Responsibilities:
The Outreach Caseworker shares a rotating schedule with their team, consisting of daytime shifts, early evening shifts, and some weekend shifts.
- works as part of a treatment team to provide family support, advocacy and intervention.
- performing work within the community and homes of youth and families
- establishes professional communication with DCF and community partners
- assists families in identifying, coordinating, and utilizing community support resources and treatment services
- organizes and provides individual and group recreational activities, informal counseling, mediation, support groups, and assistance with life skills such as job searching
- responds directly to youth and families in crisis, providing in-person and telephone intervention
- in cooperation with clinical and supervisory staff, participates in intakes, review and discharge meetings
- communicates important case information to clinical and supervisory staff and completes case documentation
The Key Program is a private, non-profit human services agency whose mission is to assist children/adolescents and their families to develop positive life skills so they may pursue productive and rewarding lives.
