Staff Accountant
Location Westlake, TX | Hybrid (Onsite Required)
COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
* $70,000-$85,000 per year + bonus
* Full-time
* Direct Hire (W2)
ROLE IMPACT
The Staff Accountant plays a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting timely month-end close in a growing, fast-paced organization. This position ensures payroll accounting, intercompany reconciliations, and accruals are completed accurately and in compliance with accounting standards. Success is defined by strong ownership of daily accounting operations, reliable financial reporting, and continuous process improvement that strengthens internal controls and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
* Analyze monthly P&L statements and balance sheet accounts; prepare supporting documentation and reconciliations for financial reporting.
* Participate in month-end close, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and general ledger verification.
* Manage payroll accounting, intercompany reconciliations, and recurring monthly accruals.
* Support internal and external audits (mid-year, interim, annual), including sales and use tax and income/franchise tax audits.
* Administer Concur expense reporting and ensure compliance with corporate credit card policies.
Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
* 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
* Experience with ERP systems and intermediate proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Word and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive).
