Were looking for a Director of Nursing to become the next key leader in our organization
as we build our US Medical Services function. You will be the key link between technology and implementation at the patient level taking new advanced technologies and managing new services to implement them. Working closely with our CEO, Chief of Staff, Commercial teamand Pipeline R&D group, you will be the point of contact for operating and expanding our Nursing team within our broader Medical Services division. You will also work closely with the Commercial team to support new clinics in engaging with Luminate services and technologies.

What You Will Do:
Implement a highly effective Nursing Services program to deliver home infusion to oncology patients by:
- Providing infusion and other skilled nursing care to patients including, but not limited to patient assessments, patient/caregiver teaching, developing and revising the plan of care, implementation of physician orders, monitoring patient response, response to emergency patient needs and psychosocial support.
- Abiding by company policies and procedures as well as ONS Standards of Practice, INS Infusion Therapy Standards of Practice, IgNS Standards of Practice, OSHA guidelines, State Nurse Practice Act, and state board laws/guidelines.
- Completing all required patient care documentation and reports accurately.
- Submitting all required patient care documentation and reports in a timely manner.
- Communicating with supervisors, physicians, and other health care providers, as appropriate, any changes in the patients condition.
- Taking on-call responsibility as assigned to provide 24-hour availability and providing these services in accordance with established protocols.
- Taking professional responsibility for self-protection during required work in potentially hazardous situations (e.g., handling of blood and body fluids, perception of and self-removal from threatening environments).
- Being responsible for the operation and maintenance of the quality program.
- Monitoring lab results on all applicable patients and ensuring lab results are communicated to the patients clinical team and uploaded to patients EMR.
- Providing scheduling assignments for all Infusion Nursing Staff assigned and maintaining the on-call schedule log ensuring that all patients are assigned accordingly.
- Ensuring that visit notes are completed by all nursing staff in a timely fashion and maintains accountability for schedule integrity.
- Maintaining professional licensure, certification, and health requirements as well as demonstrating clinical competence in orientation programs, etc.
- Managing and participating in the orientation of other nurses, validation of competency, and supervisory visits.
- Serving as the primary representative of the nursing staff for Luminate Medical.
- Ensuring that an alternate Director of Nursing is available for coverage during your absence.
- Assuming responsibility for auditing all nursing licenses and CEUs to ensure staff licensure is maintained.
- Performing other duties and special projects as assigned.
Manage a high-functioning nursing team by:
- Understanding and adhering to Luminate Medicals policies and procedures.
- Establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders as well as other Luminate Medical employees.
- Handling patient complaints in a fair and empathetic manner.
- Utilizing appropriate communication lines in relaying problems, concerns, questions, and ideas.
- Taking initiative to present ideas and suggestions to management proactively, assuming a problem-solving approach.
- Promoting Luminate Medical culture by providing quality, comprehensive services to all customers through a team approach.
- Supervising the advance practice of Nurse Practitioners employed by Luminate Medical.
- Participating in discipline and corrective action plans for clinical staff as needed.
- Participating as needed in TB testing and hepatitis B (and other, as needed) immunizations for staff members by ordering or providing medical advice.

Requirements The Ideal Candidate Must Have:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.
- OCN required, CRNI desirable.
- Current state license as Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing.
- Continuing education is necessary to maintain current licensure in all states agency is licensed.
- Minimum of three years of current nursing experience in a clinical specialty involving oncology infusion therapy, including patient assessment skills, various venous access skills, and emergency patient care.
- Experience as either an Alternate DON or DON is preferred.
- Sound knowledge of current NCCN guidelines and oncologic treatment advances, clinical research, and healthcare regulations.
- Ability to multi-task, excellent customer service skills, and excellent computer and typing skills necessary for company workflow and completion of daily tasks.
Advantages It Would be Advantageous to Have:
- Minimum of one-year previous specialized home health experience desired, Bilingual in Spanish desirable.
- Ability to learn and become competent with company used computer, telephone, and partner programs, where applicable (i.e. Office 365, Citus, CareTend, and other programs utilized).
- Ability to learn and become competent with third-party referral platforms as needed (i.e. Allscripts, Navihealth, EPIC) as needed to maintain efficient workflow.
Health Status Requirements:
- Appropriate immunizations current and TB screening (as required by policy).
- Hepatitis B vaccine or signed waiver.
- Other State and Federal required health tests allowable by law.
