Foreman – MINK Division (Roadway & Runway Preservation)


Location: MINK Region (Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas & surrounding states)

Type: Full-Time, Seasonal (approximately March–early December)

Compensation: From $1,950 per week, negotiable depending on experience

Travel: At least 75% (periods up to ~21 days or longer depending on project deadlines)


Job Description


We are seeking an experienced Foreman to lead field crews for roadway and airport preservation projects across the MINK region. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone ready to plan, direct, and execute daily work operations in asphalt and concrete pavement maintenance.


This position requires extensive travel throughout the Midwest. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of roadway construction, traffic control, and field crew supervision, with the ability to manage multiple moving parts and deliver results safely, efficiently, and on schedule.


Responsibilities


  • Conduct on-site safety meetings and ensure all field operations meet company safety standards
  • Plan and organize daily work, materials, equipment, and manpower to meet production targets
  • Lead and motivate field crews to achieve high-quality, on-time project delivery
  • Coordinate with inspectors, engineers, and project owners on field activities
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including time, equipment, and material logs
  • Enforce quality control standards and ensure compliance with DOT and project specifications
  • Oversee setup and maintenance of traffic control zones
  • Communicate progress and potential delays to the Division Manager
  • Work long hours and weekends as needed during peak season
  • Travel extensively within the assigned regional territory


Qualifications


  • 3+ years of relevant experience in asphalt paving, concrete repair, pavement preservation, or roadway construction
  • Proven experience supervising field crews on DOT or municipal projects
  • Strong working knowledge of traffic control, saw and seal, crack sealing, or joint repair operations
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, spec books, and daily production reports
  • Proficiency operating or managing tractors, concrete saws, sweepers, and other heavy equipment
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with a focus on safety and efficiency
  • CDL-A license preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • Must pass pre-employment or DOT drug screening (as applicable)


Experience Level


3+ years of experience in roadway, airport, or pavement preservation construction, including prior experience as a Foreman or Crew Lead.


Hands-on background in asphalt paving, concrete repair, crack sealing, or traffic control operations preferred.


Strong understanding of DOT standards, construction drawings, and daily reporting required.
