WHEAT PT is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and dependable Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team. We are a lifespan outpatient clinic providing care to patients across a wide range of ages and functional needs.
\n
We are open to Full-Time, Contract, or PRN employment, offering flexibility for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
\n
- \n
- Provide quality patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Carry out individualized treatment plans and therapeutic interventions including therapeutic exercise, balance/motor control activity training, manual therapy appropriate with training
- Provide manual therapy and other appropriate treatment interventions within scope of practice
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and proper techniques
- Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate progress or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and the clinical team
- Promote a positive, welcoming, and patient-centered clinic environment

Patient Population

\n
Our lifespan practice provides the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, including pediatric patients and outpatient orthopedic patients.

Preferred Experience
\n
- \n
- Post-operative rehabilitation experience
- Conservative outpatient orthopedic patient population
- Strong therapeutic exercise and exercise progression skills
- Patient education and functional outcome focus

\n
\n
Qualifications
\n
- \n
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current Louisiana Physical Therapist Assistant license
- Strong clinical and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication and patient education abilities
- Ability to work independently while functioning effectively as part of a team
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care
