High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in truck driving or other related fields.
• Valid Class A or Class C driver’s license (depending on the vehicle you will operate).
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and ability to pass a background check.
• Must be eligible for or currently possess a DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate (required for drivers of vehicles over 10,000 lbs. GVWR).
• Strong knowledge of and commitment to FMCSA and DOT regulations. • Ability to handle a physical workload, including lifting and carrying packages up to 50 pounds.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Dependable and punctual, with a professional attitude.
• Ability to follow instructions and collaborate effectively within a team.
• Fundamental knowledge of road safety regulations and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Attentiveness to detail and precision in task completion.
• Safely operate a tractor-trailer (Class A) or 18’-26’ box truck (Class C) to transport cargo to residential and business locations.
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and safety of all items.
• Track and document activity log for all trips, ensuring accuracy.
• Report any issues or incidents immediately to dispatch.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the truck is in safe working condition.
• Communicate with dispatch regarding routes, schedules, and any encountered issues during the day.
• Comply with all FMCSA, DOT, and company safety regulations and standards at all times.
• Flexibility to work varying hours, including weekends and evenings.
• Capability to adapt to diverse weather conditions.
• Willingness to undergo background checks and drug screenings as per employer requirements.
Working Schedule & Compensation:
• 50-60 hour work weeks
• Straight pay only
o Drivers will receive an hourly salary based on the number of hours worked, without receiving overtime pay for hours worked over 40 in a week. This is in compliance with the FLSA’s motor carrier exemption.
