Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years MS RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Provide skilled nursing care in a dynamic medical-surgical environment on the 5th Floor during 12-hour night shifts, with the opportunity to work every other weekend or every weekend based on your preference. This contract position offers a 13-week assignment starting ASAP, located in the Appleton, WI area.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical and COVID-19 patients, including pre- and post-catheterization and post-pacemaker procedures.
  • Manage patient care with a typical 1:5-6 nurse-to-patient ratio, supported by LPNs or CNAs according to patient acuity.
  • Flexibly float within the facility and to other nearby healthcare locations within a 60-mile radius as needed.
  • Utilize Epic charting software to document patient care accurately and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Adhere to shift schedules, with start times at 5:30 PM for 12-hour night shifts.
  • Participate in orientation and training periods as required.

Qualifications:

  • Active Wisconsin RN License and current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Minimum of 3 years RN experience, with at least one prior travel nursing contract.
  • Proficiency using Epic electronic medical records within the past year.
  • Experience caring for pediatric patients is a plus, though infrequent.
  • Demonstrated skill managing change, resilience, and a strong work ethic.
  • Socially engaging with excellent interpersonal communication.
  • Ability to wear black scrubs as part of uniform standards.

Shift Details:

  • 12-hour night shifts starting at 5:30 PM
  • Every other weekend or every weekend options
  • Approximately 36 guaranteed hours per week
  • 8-hour unbillable orientation period
  • No on-call or call-back requirements
  • Holiday shifts as needed
