Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years MS RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Provide skilled nursing care in a dynamic medical-surgical environment on the 5th Floor during 12-hour night shifts, with the opportunity to work every other weekend or every weekend based on your preference. This contract position offers a 13-week assignment starting ASAP, located in the Appleton, WI area.

Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical and COVID-19 patients, including pre- and post-catheterization and post-pacemaker procedures.
- Manage patient care with a typical 1:5-6 nurse-to-patient ratio, supported by LPNs or CNAs according to patient acuity.
- Flexibly float within the facility and to other nearby healthcare locations within a 60-mile radius as needed.
- Utilize Epic charting software to document patient care accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Adhere to shift schedules, with start times at 5:30 PM for 12-hour night shifts.
- Participate in orientation and training periods as required.
Qualifications:
- Active Wisconsin RN License and current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of 3 years RN experience, with at least one prior travel nursing contract.
- Proficiency using Epic electronic medical records within the past year.
- Experience caring for pediatric patients is a plus, though infrequent.
- Demonstrated skill managing change, resilience, and a strong work ethic.
- Socially engaging with excellent interpersonal communication.
- Ability to wear black scrubs as part of uniform standards.
Shift Details:
- 12-hour night shifts starting at 5:30 PM
- Every other weekend or every weekend options
- Approximately 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 8-hour unbillable orientation period
- No on-call or call-back requirements
- Holiday shifts as needed
