Job Title: Mammography Technologist
Location: Falmouth, MA
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift (Flexible start times)
Schedule: 40 hours/week (8-hour shifts)
Employment Type: Contract

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic and screening mammography procedures. This role requires expertise in imaging, patient care, and compliance with regulatory standards while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities:

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography and stereotactic procedures
• Operate imaging equipment and ensure proper calibration and functionality
• Conduct DEXA (bone density) scans as required
• Ensure compliance with MQSA and American College of Radiology (ACR) standards
• Perform routine quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) checks
• Prepare exam rooms and ensure availability of necessary supplies
• Review physician orders, prior imaging, and patient history for accuracy
• Educate patients on procedures and ensure understanding of the process
• Maintain patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality during procedures
• Accurately document imaging procedures and maintain PACS records
• Coordinate workflow to ensure efficiency and timely completion of exams
• Identify and report equipment malfunctions and ensure timely resolution
• Maintain inventory and manage supplies for imaging and DEXA operations

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• ARRT certification (Radiologic Technologist) required
• Active state license in Radiology and Mammography required
• Current BLS certification required
• Experience in 3D Mammography (Digital Breast Tomosynthesis) required
• Strong knowledge of MQSA and ACR standards
• Experience performing DEXA scans preferred
• Strong communication and patient care skills
