Scope of Job:

This position works within the bank's operations team and is responsible for receiving, verifying, and processing incoming and outgoing domestic and international wire transfers while ensuring proper procedures are followed. This position collaborates closely with employees to ensure accurate wire processing. In this role, you will review wire transfers for accuracy, verify the availability of funds, ensure wire agreement guidelines are met prior to processing, and maintain records of transactions.

Primary Duties:

Responsible for processing all incoming wires and outgoing wire transfer requests in a timely and accurate manner and in compliance with bank policies and procedures. Includes information verification, required G/L entries, reporting, and communication of all wire transfer activities.

Perform daily wire transfer functions to meet established administrative, operational, and compliance goals for departments within the bank while ensuring a comprehensive understanding for a full range of services.

Submit service messages and monitor incoming service messages. Monitor system queues and perform duties as needed to ensure work is processed in a timely manner.

Provide Bank statement and wire transfer activity reporting to Finance, Compliance, and Reconcilement staff on a daily and monthly basis; acting as the subject matter wire transfer expert (SME) for the Enterprise.

Provide wire transfer information, expertise, and support to branches and other departments by resolving problems and answering questions related to write transfers.

Provide telephone customer service to account holders with wire transfer requests, wire investigations and general wire transfer inquiries.

Ensure compliance with all bank and regulatory standards and immediately report suspected suspicious or unusual activity.

Serve as the system owner and specialist. Provide subject matter expertise for documentation projects.

As part of the Deposit Operations Department, you must also assist with other job duties as required by cross-training or coverage as needed.

Secondary Duties:

Work as a team with departmental counterparts on planning and implementing assigned projects and products.

Participate on various committees and project teams as deemed appropriate by management.

Attend and actively participate in training offered.

Adhere to all applicable Policies and Procedures of BankWest organization.

Community involvement is strongly encouraged.

Requirements

Education:

An Associate's degree in a related field.

Applicable experience and/or related certifications may be considered in lieu of degree.

Experience:

2 years' experience in related field.

Knowledge and Special Skills:

Attentive to detail.

Proficiency in working with and creating spreadsheets, including strong skills in related computer programs.

Ability to work dependently and/or independently, under pressure, meet deadlines, and adjust work schedules as needed to complete job responsibilities.

Ability to organize and handle multiple responsibilities while delivering quality external and/or internal Customer Service.

Strong interpersonal skills to ensure effective communication with external and/or internal customers.

Knowledge or ability to learn regulatory requirements pertinent to performance of specified duties in job description.

Knowledge of banking terminology and procedures.

Knowledge of BankWest products and services.

Ability to skillfully use a variety of application software, learn computer programs, and comprehend the program output.
