Job DescriptionWe are looking for a detail-oriented Receptionist to join our team on a Contract basis in New York, New York. This role requires someone with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
• Manage incoming calls using a multi-line phone system, ensuring accurate call transfers and prompt responses.
• Welcome and assist visitors, clients, and staff with courtesy and professionalism.
• Handle sensitive and confidential documents while maintaining discretion and security.
• Sort and distribute incoming mail and deliveries to the appropriate departments.
• Communicate effectively with managers and clients regarding deadlines or job-related concerns.
• Perform administrative duties, including scheduling appointments and maintaining office records.
• Operate and manage a switchboard system to support efficient communication within the organization.
• Assist with special projects or tasks as assigned by management.
• Ensure the reception area remains organized and presentable at all times.• At least one year of experience in office services, preferably in legal, banking, or large corporate environments.
• Prior experience as a receptionist, switchboard operator, or administrative assistant is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in handling multi-line phone systems and managing call transfers.
• Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
• Skilled in sorting and organizing mail and deliveries.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
