The Pontiac Branch serves a diverse and close-knit population, and plays an important role as a welcoming space for learning, connection, and access to essential resources. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys building relationships, meeting people where they are, and creating meaningful outreach opportunities beyond the library's walls.
In this position, you'll engage daily with community members-both inside the branch and out in the neighborhood-connecting adults and youth with books, technology, programs, and services that support lifelong learning. You'll have the opportunity to think creatively, collaborate with community partners, and make a direct impact on the lives of those we serve.

What You'll Do
As an All-Ages/Outreach Librarian, your work will go beyond the traditional desk:

Build relationships with community organizations and connect with patrons of all ages outside the library through outreach efforts

Plan and deliver engaging programs and services

Support daily public service needs within the branch, creating a welcoming and helpful environment

Champion equitable access to information and services for all members of the community

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- 2 years of library experience
- State of Indiana Public Librarian Certification (LC-5) - within 3 years of hire
