Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Exciting opportunity for a dedicated Physical Therapist to make a meaningful impact in an educational setting! This part-time contract role runs from August 11, 2025, through June 17, 2026, providing support for students in kindergarten through 8th grade. You will deliver onsite services at campuses in Lawrence, MA, with flexibility to shape your weekly schedule—work any days you prefer as long as your hours fall between 8 AM and 3 PM. This is an excellent fit if you're seeking hands-on experience in school-based therapy with the ability to tailor your day.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Physical Therapy license in Massachusetts (required)
- Prior experience providing PT services in a school setting is highly preferred
- Must be able to travel between multiple campuses in Lawrence, MA
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Comfortable working independently with a diverse student population
- Fingerprint and CORI background checks must be completed before starting
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct physical therapy interventions to students from kindergarten to 8th grade
- Assess, plan, and implement therapy plans in accordance with IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, school teams, and family members to maximize student outcomes
- Document services and maintain records as required by school protocols and state regulations
- Adjust therapy services and strategies to meet each student’s unique needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and consult with interdisciplinary teams as needed
