Sitemetric seeks a bar-raising Production Shift Lead to support daily operational flow by guiding Production Specialists 1 during assigned shifts and ensuring tasks are completed accurately, safely, and in alignment with company SOPs. You will be the key point of contact for questions, quality concerns, and workflow, while also working alongside the team and providing oversight of productivity, inventory counts, and others.

About the Role

As Production Shift Lead you will support daily operational flow by guiding Production Specialists 1 during assigned shifts and ensuring tasks are completed accurately, safely, and in alignment with company SOPs. This position serves as the on-shift point of contact for questions, quality concerns, and workflow coordination, working hands-on alongside the team while also providing direction, ensuring inventory counts, monitoring productivity, and elevating issues to the Production Leader as needed. The ideal candidate will be experienced in badge assembly, PPE handling, and inventory care, and eager to take on additional responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include:

On-Shift Leadership & Coordination

  • Lead daily huddles to review quota goals, workflow priorities, and task assignments.
  • Guide team members during badge assembly, PPE preparation, and inventory tasks.
  • Adjust tasking throughout the shift based on workload, deadlines, and incoming requests.
  • Ensure assigned duties align with the Production Specialist 1 shifts.
  • Serve as the first point of support for questions related to SOPs, processes, or order requirements.

Badge Assembly & Quality Checks

  • Perform badge assembly tasks and support team members as needed.
  • Review completed badges for accuracy, correct activation, stamping, labeling, and assembly.
  • Confirm badge bundles are stored correctly and match workflow item counts.
  • Escalate equipment malfunctions or recurring quality issues to the Production Leader.
  • Confirm team members enter all required inventory counts into the correct logs with accuracy and completeness.

PPE & Inventory Oversight

  • Oversee receiving and counting of PPE/uniform shipments during the shift.
  • Verify that team members record counts correctly in designated logs.
  • Ensure PPE assembly tasks (helmet setup, vest clips, glasses attachments, etc.) meet all established standards.
  • Monitor inventory areas for cleanliness, organization, and proper stock rotation.

Issue Escalation & Communication

  • Notify Production Leader when daily quotas shortages occur, badge component defects are found, workflow orders are incomplete or inconsistent, or safety/cleanliness issues arise.
  • Provide brief end-of-shift status updates: what was completed, what is pending, and any exceptions.

Performance Expectations

The Shift Lead is expected to:

  • Maintain smooth workflow throughout the shift.
  • Support the team by clarifying SOPs and reinforcing expectations.
  • Keep quality standards high and ensure accuracy in badge assembly and inventory
  • logging.
  • Model professional, collaborative behavior and promote a positive work
  • environment.
  • Work hands-on while still maintaining awareness of the full shift’s progress.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in badge assembly, inventory, warehouse, or production environments required.
  • Strong understanding of company SOPs for badge assembly, PPE handling, and inventory management.
  • Ability to lead peers, communicate directions clearly, and keep the team focused.
  • Good problem-solving skills and comfort escalating issues quickly and appropriately.
  • High attention to detail and ability to spot errors and/or quality issues.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain consistency across shifts
  • Willingness to participate in pre-employment screening process (drug screen and background checks)

Work Environment

Ability to work in the following conditions:

  • Facility-based role requiring standing, walking, and hands-on activity throughout the shift.
  • Moderate lifting (up to 30 lbs).
  • Required PPE in designated areas.
  • May be assigned to support multiple workflow zones.

Additional Information

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $22.00 to $25.00 per hour. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and jobsite upon which work is being performed, and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, credentials, and experience.
