Job DescriptionWe are looking for a skilled and proactive Senior Accountant to join our team in Gardena, California. This Contract to permanent position offers the opportunity to oversee key financial operations and contribute to the organization's success. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and a demonstrated ability to manage processes efficiently while ensuring accuracy.
Responsibilities:
• Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
• Calculate and process monthly commissions, royalty payments, and sales rebate expenses.
• Perform reconciliations for royalty income to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Support month-end and year-end closing procedures by preparing necessary reports and analyses.
• Conduct monthly financial statement reviews to identify trends and discrepancies.
• Implement and maintain compliance with internal controls and organizational policies.
• Provide guidance and supervision to entry level accounting staff, fostering their growth and attention to detail.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of financial processes.
• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks to manage and streamline operations.• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a mid-sized company with revenues exceeding $15 million.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience managing a team of 2-3 individuals.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and compliance standards.
• Exceptional analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
• Expertise in month-end close, general ledger management, journal entries, and reconciliations.
