Reporting Relationship: Marketing Manager – Digital and Social
Position Overview: The Graphic Designer plays a critical role in bringing the Operation Kindness Humane Society brand to life across the organization. This role supports internal teams by creating thoughtful, cohesive, and professional graphic designs that advance our mission, engage supporters, and strengthen our visual identity. The Graphic Designer will help increase efficiency, reduce reliance on external vendors, and ensure timely, on-brand design support for a wide range of organizational needs.
Position Responsibilities:
- Design a wide variety of creative assets to support organizational needs, including, but not limited to:
- Marketing and communications materials
- Event invitations, signage, and collateral
- Development and donor-facing materials
- Program print resources (i.e. flyers, forms, signs, etc.)
- Internal communications
- Apparel, merchandise, and branded items
- Maintain and elevate brand consistency, cohesion, and professionalism across all visual materials.
- Collaborate closely with Marketing team members to translate concepts and messaging into compelling visual designs.
- Manage multiple design requests simultaneously, prioritizing deadlines and responding efficiently to internal stakeholders.
- Prepare files for print and digital use, ensuring accuracy and quality control.
- Support ongoing brand refinement by helping implement style guides, templates, and visual standards.
- Coordinate with external vendors or printers as needed.
- Maintain organized digital asset libraries and design files.
- Additional, relevant tasks as assigned by [supervisor]
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 1 year, more preferred, of professional or relevant internship experience in graphic design
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop required)
- Strong understanding of layout, typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy
- Ability to work within established brand guidelines while contributing fresh, thoughtful ideas
- Excellent time management and organizational skills; able to balance multiple projects and deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
