This opportunity is for Intake Counselors to work FT Days, FT Evenings, FT Nights or PRN.
The FT positions offers full benefits and a convenient schedule of either:
- Weekdays 7am - 3pm plus every other Saturday & Sunday 7am - 3pm
- Evenings 3pm - 11pm plus every other Saturday & Sunday 3pm - 11pm
- Weeknights 11pm- 7am plus every other Saturday & Sunday 11pm - 7am
- PRNs must have the availability to work 8 hour shifts every other Saturday & Sunday

What do Intake Counselors do at Old Vineyard Behavioral Health Services?
Intake Counselors provide behavioral health assessments and crisis intervention services to adolescent and adult patients both in-person and via telephone.

Required Education:
Master's degree in counseling or related field.
Required Experience:
One year inpatient psychiatric assessments/treatment experience with adults and/or adolescents preferred.
Required Licensure/Certification:
Licensed professional (LCSW or LCSWA, LCMHC or LCMHCA, LMFT or LMFTA).
Required Skills:
Ability to develop therapeutic relationships with patients and families. Knowledge of human behavior or principles of psychology including therapeutic relationships & processes, age specific growth & development, limit setting, crisis & behavior management.
Physical Requirements:
Requires sufficient body mobility to accomplish essential functions. Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to bend, stoop, and kneel with ease. Requires walking and standing often. Requires frequently speaking on the telephone. Able to write legibly and grammatically to convey patient behavior and information in the patient chart. Requires normal or corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Must be able to express and exchange ideas by means of the spoken word. Communicating fluently and effectively both verbally and in writing in English. Ability to perform CPI physical, verbal and non-verbal techniques. Ability to appropriately interact with all program staff, patients, visitors, attending physicians, and other department representatives.
