Job Title: Furniture Warehouse Manager
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Furniture Warehouse Manager with a strong background in the furniture industry, specifically in furniture assembly, installation, and warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will oversee all warehouse activities, ensure efficient inventory management, and lead assembly and installation teams to deliver high-quality service on time and within standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatching of furniture.
- Supervise and coordinate furniture assembly and installation teams, ensuring proper techniques, quality control, and safety compliance.
- Plan and schedule installations and deliveries in coordination with logistics, sales, and customer service teams.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee stock control, cycle counts, and damage prevention.
- Ensure all furniture is assembled and installed according to manufacturer specifications and company standards.
- Train, coach, and evaluate warehouse, assembly, and installation staff.
- Enforce workplace safety regulations and proper handling of furniture and equipment.
- Monitor productivity, workflow efficiency, and labor utilization.
- Manage warehouse equipment, tools, vehicles, and installation materials.
- Resolve operational issues, customer concerns, and installation-related challenges.
- Prepare reports on inventory levels, labor performance, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in a furniture warehouse environment, with hands-on experience in furniture assembly and installation.
- Proven experience in a warehouse management or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of furniture types, hardware, assembly methods, and installation processes.
- Experience managing warehouse staff, installers, and assembly teams.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and warehouse best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions, layouts, and installation plans.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Valid driver’s license (if required for site visits or deliveries).
- Ability to lift and move furniture and work in a physically demanding environment when needed.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with residential and/or commercial furniture installations.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards related to warehouse and installation work.
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
- Experience with route planning and delivery coordination.
Working Conditions
- Full-time position based in a warehouse environment.
