Job Description

Aviation Component Repair Technician (TIG Welding & Inspection)


Position Overview:

Responsible for performing precision maintenance, repair, and overhaul of aircraft engine components in compliance with aviation industry regulations and quality standards. This position involves TIG welding, mechanical assembly, detailed inspections, and collaboration with engineering to ensure components meet operational specifications.


Key Duties:

  • Conduct TIG welding repairs on various aircraft engine parts following established repair procedures and quality guidelines.
  • Disassemble, assemble, and install engine components for inspection, repair, or reinstallation.
  • Perform precise measurements using calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, and other precision instruments to verify component tolerances.
  • Operate hand and power tools, as well as specialized equipment required for part repairs and maintenance processes.
  • Assist engineering teams in identifying part failures, contributing to root cause analysis and corrective action plans.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant work environment while strictly following operational and documentation protocols.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Previous TIG welding experience, preferably on precision or aerospace components.
  • Proficient in the safe use of hand tools, power tools, and precision measurement equipment.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow detailed technical procedures and documentation in English.
  • Strong basic math, computer literacy, fine motor skills, and attention to detail.
  • Must pass required drug and alcohol screening in accordance with aviation regulatory standards.
  • Must meet specific near vision requirements (20/25 in at least one eye, with or without correction) and have adequate color perception for work-related tasks.
