Powder Coater (Plymouth, MN)
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
Powder Coater Overview We are seeking a dedicated Powder Coater to join our production team. This position is ideal for a professional with a strong background in industrial finishing and a commitment to lean manufacturing principles.
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:00 am – 4:00 pm (Overtime available)
Compensation: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Surface Preparation: Clean, sand, and mask metal components using power and hand tools.
- Application: Utilize industrial spray booths and coating systems to achieve uniform finishes.
- Quality Control: Use calipers, gauges, and precision instruments to monitor coating thickness and spec adherence.
- Material Logistics: Safely operate forklifts and cranes to load ovens and move inventory.
- Continuous Improvement: Apply lean principles to reduce waste and optimize daily throughput.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2+ years of professional powder coating experience.
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Strong mechanical background (Machining, Welding, or Fabrication knowledge is a plus).
- Ability to perform basic math for technical quality checks.
