MARKETING ASSOCIATE

Position Description


JOB TYPE: Part-time


WORK LOCATION: Hybrid. Candidates are expected to be onsite in College Park, MD. Only Candidates who reside in the College Park HUBZone will be considered for this position.


ABOUT: QMS Consulting (QMS) is an Education Technology (EdTech) and Information Technology (IT) Consulting firm specializing in Cybersecurity / Data Protection, Cloud Lifecycle, Software Development and Data Science. QMS seeks a marketing associate to work within a dynamic and highly innovative marketing team that supports federal government customers. The marketing associate will serve as an integral component of expanding QMS Government Contracting (GovCon) footprint.


In this role, you should be tenacious, detail oriented, have excellent verbal, written and social media communication skills and the ability to quickly build a rapport with existing and potential customers.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Marketing Associate responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and qualifying customer opportunities through various communication channels including phone, email, and social media interactions.
  • Daily maintenance of customer records in QMS Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Develops account opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new account, building rapport and providing technical information and explanations.
  • Schedule potential / existing customer meetings for senior marketing team members.
  • Maintains and improves quality results by following standards and recommending improved policies and procedures.
  • Updates QMS core capabilities knowledge by studying new service / product descriptions and participating in educational opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Marketing Associate requirements include:

  • 2+ years of college experience in a marketing, promotions, advertising, or business administration major.
  • 1+ years prior experience in a marketing, promotions, advertising or business administration position.
  • Familiarity with email, CRM and social media (e.g., Linked In, Instagram) applications.
  • Laser-focus on understanding customer needs / requirements.
  • Exude professionalism to build customer rapport and relationships.
  • Focused, motivation for account building with the ability to exceed weekly account goals.
  • Strong CRM data accuracy and management skills.


HOURLY RATE:
$15 per hour
