Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Teacher for the Visually Impaired
Location: Fawn Grove, PA
Schedule: Full-Time | MondayFriday | 3540 hours per week
Contract Dates: August 25, 2025 June 12, 2026 (20252026 School Year)
Caseload: Approximately 610 students across multiple grade levels
Blazer Jobs is seeking a certified Teacher for the Visually Impaired for a full-time, school-based role in Fawn Grove, PA. This position is ideal for a compassionate educator dedicated to supporting the academic and/or functional needs of students with visual impairments.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct instruction and support in academic areas, tailored to individual student needs using braille, large print, and other accessible formats

Collaborate with school staff to develop and implement instructional goals and methods in accordance with district and IEP requirements

Regularly communicate with parents and team members to exchange updates and support strategies

Conduct ongoing assessments of student achievement using formal and informal tools

Prepare for and actively participate in IEP meetings related to student programming and services
Requirements:

Valid Pennsylvania certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired

Experience working in school settings preferred

Strong understanding of assistive technology, braille literacy, and low-vision tools

Ability to work collaboratively and maintain consistent documentation
