Job Title: Hiring Specialist/Recruiter
Location: Torrance, CA
Reports To: Senior HR Manager
Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Hiring Specialist to support our growing Human Resources team. This position plays a key role in executing the recruitment and onboarding process under the direction of the Senior HR Manager, ensuring a smooth, efficient, and professional experience for both candidates and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate has experience with full-cycle recruiting, strong organizational skills, and a collaborative, service-oriented approach.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Candidate Support
- Assist with full-cycle recruiting including posting jobs, screening applicants, and scheduling interviews
- Collaborate with the Senior HR Manager to understand hiring needs and align sourcing strategies
- Source qualified candidates through job boards, social platforms, employee referrals, and networking
- Conduct initial resume screenings and phone interviews to assess qualifications and fit
- Coordinate interview logistics and ensure timely, professional communication with candidates and hiring team
- Maintain accurate records and workflows in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
- Provide an exceptional candidate experience from first contact through onboarding
Hiring Process & Administrative Support
- Post job descriptions across ADP and Linkedin Recruiter
- Track key recruiting metrics such as time-to-fill and candidate source
- Support new hire onboarding and orientation, including documentation and scheduling
- Maintain compliance with internal policies and employment laws
- Participate in job fairs, recruitment events, and community outreach as needed
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and hiring strategy discussions led by the Sr. HR Manager
- Perform other duties and assignments as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in recruiting, preferably in a fast-paced or high-volume environment
- Experience in a Consumer-Packaged Products company
- Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (e.g., ADP, LinkedIn Recruiter)
- Knowledge of California employment and hiring laws
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively across teams
- Tech-savvy and able to learn new platforms quickly
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and stay focused under pressure
