Your day to day as a FULL TIME OUTPATIENT LPN
As a Full Time Outpatient License Practical Nurse at Apollo Behavioral Health Hospital, you will play a crucial role in evaluating, planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care for our psychiatric patient population. Your responsibilities will include assisting physicians during psychiatric assessments and mental status examinations, conducting individual and group psychotherapy sessions, and leading medication education group sessions. You’ll perform various tasks to ensure high-quality treatment while promoting patient health through teaching and rehabilitative measures, all under the guidance of the registered nurse or program director.
Administering medications according to physician orders and assisting patients in developing effective self-care techniques will be integral to your role. You’ll collaborate with other health professionals to achieve continuity of care and stay informed about changes in nursing practices. Furthermore, by participating in nursing performance improvement programs, you’ll actively contribute to enhancing patient safety and healthcare compliance, fostering a culture of excellence at Apollo.
