Description
American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a hospital-based Nuclear Medicine department, requiring at least 1 year of relevant experience, ARRT (N) or CNCT certification, and Epic EMR proficiency.
Details
- Hospital-based Nuclear Medicine department
- Performs diagnostic nuclear medicine studies and assists with therapeutic radiopharmaceutical administrations
- Monday through Friday, 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM (8-hour shifts) with rotating on-call
- 40 hours per week, 5 days per week
- No weekend or holiday shifts required
- No floating requirements
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience
- Certificate of Completion in Radiologic Technology or a college diploma in a related field
- Current BLS (AHA) certification
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist - Nuclear Medicine (IEMA) required; license required if applicable
- One of the following certifications required: Certified Nerve Conduction Technologist (CNCT) or ARRT registration in Nuclear Medicine Technology (N)
- Epic EMR experience required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Serves as a technical resource and subject matter expert for staff, management, and physicians in Nuclear Medicine/PET
- Oversees patient scheduling and workflow to maximize departmental efficiency
- Participates in QA/QC programs and directs staff in maintaining accreditation, licensure, and safety standards
- Assists with developing training programs and evaluating technical skills of staff
- Aids in the annual review and updates of department policies and protocols
- Performs on-call duties and variable shifts as assigned to meet department needs
- Performs coaching with staff and collaborates on workflow organization
- Candidate interviews are conducted by the facility leader
- RTO is not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
- Contingent workers may not be on continuous assignment for more than 1 year at this health system; a 6-month break in service is required before returning to any location within the health system
