Clinical Nurse Supervisor - RN

The Clinical Nurse Supervisor (RN) provides hands-on leadership and clinical oversight for nursing staff at Providence Healthcare of Georgia. This role supports high-quality care for our clients by supervising clinical staff, ensuring compliance with care plans and state guidelines, and serving as a clinical resource for families, nurses, and providers. The Clinical Nurse Supervisor helps build a strong, accountable team while promoting a culture of compassion, excellence, and teamwork.

Primary Responsibilities

(include but are not limited to):

  • Provide direct supervision and clinical support to nursing and direct care staff
  • Serve as the clinical expert, leading staff orientation, training, and competency reviews
  • Review, approve, and monitor care plans to ensure quality and compliance
  • Ensure services meet all licensing requirements, agency policies, and standards of care
  • Conduct supervisory and client home visits; step in for visits as needed
  • Support the growth of home care services through strong clinical leadership
  • Investigate and resolve client or family concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Participate in recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and identifying training needs for clinical staff
  • Evaluate clinical programs and services and recommend improvements
  • Complete annual performance evaluations for clinical staff
  • Collaborate with families, providers, and the care team to ensure effective communication
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Administrator

Education, Skills, and Experience Requirements

  • Active, unencumbered RN license in the state of practice
  • Current CPR certification (American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or BLS)
  • Current TB screening (within the last 12 months)
  • At least six months of hands-on nursing experience preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Reliable transportation for home and supervisory visits
