Warehouse Pick and Packer (Plumbing Supply)
Brooklyn, NY 11234
- Schedule: Monday–Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Pick and Packer to join our plumbing
supply warehouse team. You will be responsible for accurately selecting products from
inventory and preparing them for secure shipment or technician pickup.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accurately retrieve plumbing parts, fittings, pipes, and water heaters from warehouse shelves based on digital pick lists or RF scanners
- Visually inspect all items for defects, damage, or missing parts before packing to maintain high quality standards
- Securely pack orders using appropriate materials (shrink wrap, padding) to prevent damage during transit and apply accurate shipping labels
- Assist with cycle counts, restock shelves, and report any stock shortages or inventory discrepancies to supervisors
- Safely operate manual or electric pallet jacks, and forklifts (if certified) to move heavy plumbing materials
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace by clearing debris and following all OSHA safety protocols
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended shifts and lift/move heavy objects (typically up to 50 lbs., sometimes more for items like water heaters)
- Precision in matching SKU numbers and quantities to ensure order accuracy
- Experience using handheld barcode scanners and basic computer systems for order tracking
- A strong work ethic with a commitment to punctuality and meeting daily shipping goals
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Active, fast-paced warehouse setting.
- Exposure to varying temperatures depending on the season.
