Compassionate and skilled Registered Nurses (RNs) with expertise in acute care units in a hospital setting delivering high-quality, fast-paced patient care in critical and high-pressure environments. Experienced in triage, assessment, stabilization, and treatment of patients with diverse and urgent medical needs. Demonstrates strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes. Adept at handling trauma, cardiac, and acute medical emergencies while maintaining composure and prioritizing care efficiently.
Proficient in conducting maternal and fetal assessments, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and supporting patients through all stages of labor. Adept at managing both routine and high-risk pregnancies, assisting physicians and midwives during deliveries, and responding quickly to obstetric emergencies. Requirements:
- New York State RN license
- At least 1-2+ years of acute care nursing experience - acute care, critical care nursing, etc.
- Valid BLS (American Heart Association) - required
- Valid ACLS (American Heart Association) - required
- Valid PALS (American Heart Association) - preferred
- EMR - EPIC experience - required
- Must be able to pass background check and complete onboarding/credentialing before starting
- Must have a BSN - Bachelor of Nursing - to be considered
Patient Care & Clinical Duties
- Perform rapid and accurate patient assessments and prioritize care based on acuity.
- Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions per established protocols.
- Monitor and document patient status, vital signs, and responses to treatment.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and families during emergencies.
- Collaborate with physicians, paramedics, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Respond to trauma, cardiac, respiratory, and other critical emergencies with precision and composure.
- Maintain readiness for mass casualty or disaster response situations.
- Ensure adherence to infection control, safety, and quality standards.
- Participate in continuing education and training to stay current with emergency nursing best practices.
