Job Title: Pump Assembly Technician – 1st Shift +OT
Pay: $17.00 - $21.00
We are currently seeking a Pump Assembly Technician to join our team on 1st shift. This full-time role offers competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while following technical instructions accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and test pumps to meet precise specifications and quality standards.
- Follow written and verbal work instructions, including engineering drawings, schematics, and sketches.
- Use hand tools and power tools (wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, drills, etc.) and measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, etc.) to perform mechanical assembly.
- Understand the fundamentals of pump operation, hydraulics, plumbing, and control systems.
- Set up, perform, and document test procedures, including test article preparation and result tracking.
- Conduct quality inspections of completed assemblies to ensure compliance with internal, customer, and industry standards.
- Access technical documents and scan job completions using PC-based software.
- Manage time effectively to stay on schedule with minimal supervision.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of mechanical assembly experience.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Solid understanding of mechanical systems, especially related to pumps.
- Comfortable working with both manual and powered tools.
- Basic proficiency with computers and software for accessing documents and job tracking.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and committed to producing high-quality work.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in pump assembly or the aerospace/industrial manufacturing sector.
- Technical school certificate or relevant vocational training.
