Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray for a 13-week travel contract at a short-term acute care hospital, requiring at least 1-2 years of experience including general radiology, portables, fluoroscopy, and OR procedures.
Details
- Short-term acute care hospital setting with 94 staffed beds
- X-Ray department handling general radiology, portable imaging, fluoroscopy procedures, and OR procedures
- Average daily caseload of approximately 20 patients per technologist
- 4x10-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM with a rotating day off
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- Floating within clinical scope is possible per facility policy
- Charting via Epic (experience required)
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
Requirements
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray
- Experience with general radiology including portables, fluoroscopy, and OR procedures required
- ARRT certification and current BLS required
- Valid Missouri state license required; Illinois candidates may be considered with a pending IL license (please indicate this when applying)
- License required if applicable
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Scrubs are provided by the facility
- No more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation
- IR skills (paracentesis, thoracentesis, and drainages) are preferred but not required
- Travelers may remain for up to 12 months, after which a 6-month break in service is required before returning
- Former permanent employees of this facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
