Job Description
Operations leader responsible for overseeing warehouse and distribution activities, ensuring safety, efficiency, and on-time delivery. Drives labor planning, inventory control, and continuous improvement while leading and developing frontline teams.
*This role is a Weekend Shift, Three 12 hour shifts: Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support all safety programs to maintain a safe work environment
- Plan and adjust labor needs based on daily, weekly, and monthly forecasts
- Manage daily operations to ensure balanced staffing, efficiency, and on-time execution
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and eliminate non-value-added activities
- Train, mentor, and motivate hourly workforce to meet performance expectations
- Oversee receiving, inventory management, packaging, and shipping to meet quality and delivery standards
- Ensure operations meet quality, budget, and delivery objectives
- Manage inventory control processes to ensure accuracy and accountability
- Maintain clear communication with team to align on goals and priorities
- Establish and improve operational processes, policies, and procedures
- Track performance metrics and prepare reports on operational effectiveness
- Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issues and improve processes
- Manage product traceability systems using WMS/Oracle
- Ensure facility cleanliness, equipment maintenance, and compliance with safety standards
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in warehouse or distribution operations
- 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience
- Proven experience implementing inventory control systems and continuous improvement programs
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, and distribution processes
- Experience with WMS systems and inventory tracking tools
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations in warehouse/shipping environments
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Customer-focused mindset with ability to build relationships
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to operate in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Experience with Oracle or similar supply chain/logistics systems
- Additional experience with Warehouse Management Systems
