About the Role:
The Human Resource Specialist plays a crucial role in fostering a positive workplace environment and ensuring that the organization attracts, retains, and develops top talent. This position is responsible for implementing HR policies and procedures that align with the company's strategic goals while promoting employee engagement and satisfaction. The specialist will serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries, providing guidance and support in various HR functions. Additionally, the role involves conducting recruitment processes, managing employee records, and facilitating training and development programs. Ultimately, the Human Resource Specialist contributes to the overall success of the organization by enhancing workforce productivity and maintaining a compliant and inclusive workplace culture.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in a human resources role.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Experience with HRIS systems and recruitment software.
Responsibilities:

Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure review.

Facilitates recruiting efforts for supported management including onboarding new hires through multiple company systems.

Conducts employment verifications and other day to day paperwork as needed

Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.

Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.

Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.

Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
