Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Valid Colorado Department of Education certificate in Early Childhood Special Education (see acceptable DOE certs)
  • Recent experience working with preschool-aged children (ages 3-5 preferred)
  • Ability to perform and interpret standardized assessments for eligibility, literacy, and math
  • Strong skills collaborating with teams and supporting students with diverse learning needs

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher for a preschool caseload (maximum 15 students)
  • Provide both in-class and individualized/pull-out instruction
  • Assess, teach, and support students with disabilities across a continuum of services
  • Use Friday planning periods for collaboration and lesson planning
  • Complete required documentation and participate in virtual interviews (Google Meets)
