Position Summary
The College of Business at Dillard University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor of Business Management position, with a start date of August 2025. The College of Business is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) and emphasizes excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service within a student-centered environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Earned doctorate in Business Management or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- ABD candidates will be considered, with the expectation of degree completion by the time of appointment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
We seek candidates with:
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching business courses.
- The ability to teach courses in management-related areas, such as operations management, strategic management, management information systems, or business analytics, at the undergraduate level.
- A commitment to student advising, mentoring, and academic success in a culturally diverse, urban HBCU environment.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with online teaching and course development preferred.
Faculty Responsibilities:
Faculty responsibilities include teaching, scholarship, and service:
- Standard teaching load is four courses per semester (12 credit hours).
- Faculty are expected to advise students, serve on university and college committees, and engage in scholarly and professional development activities.
- Candidates must demonstrate potential or ability to maintain scholarly productivity sufficient to meet ACBSP Scholarly Academic qualifications.
- Faculty are expected to actively engage with the university, business, and surrounding New Orleans communities.
Salary:
