Parts Warehouse Manager
Pay Rate: $23+/hr DOE
Location: Houston, TX 77060
Schedule: 8:30AM to 5:00PM, M-F
Position Overview
The Parts Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring inventory accuracy, and driving efficient parts distribution across North America. This role combines hands-on warehouse leadership with system-based inventory management, requiring strong organizational skills and experience with SAP. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing warehouse processes while supporting a growing dealer network.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations & Inventory Management
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of parts
- Ensure accurate inventory management through cycle counts, audits, and system reconciliation
- Maintain organized warehouse layout to optimize space, efficiency, and safety
Order Fulfillment & Distribution
- Manage timely and accurate fulfillment of dealer and customer orders
- Prepare shipping documentation and coordinate freight (LTL, parcel, and container shipments)
- Monitor order status and resolve fulfillment issues to meet service expectations
Systems & Process Management
- Utilize SAP to manage inventory transactions, stock movements, and order
processing
- Maintain accurate data within SAP and CRM systems
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency and accuracy
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate with dealers, logistics providers, and SDLG’s China-based parts team to resolve inventory, shipping, and order-related issues
- Support communication across teams to ensure alignment on parts availability and delivery timelines
Hands-On Warehouse Support
- Assist with container unloading, palletizing, restocking, and forklift operations as
needed
- Manage warehouse supplies, including packaging materials and consumables
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with safety standards
Continuous Improvement & Compliance
- Support annual physical inventory and ongoing process improvement initiatives
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and operational best practices
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in a parts warehouse, distribution center, or similar environment
- Hands-on experience with SAP (EWM preferred), including inventory management, receiving, and stock transfers
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, parts handling, and shipping/receiving processes
- Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse equipment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a warehouse environment
- Self-motivated, reliable, and comfortable working with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in heavy equipment, automotive, industrial machinery, or OEM parts distribution
- Familiarity with LTL freight carriers, pallet preparation, and warehouse performance metrics (KPIs)
- Experience with process improvement initiatives, including 5S or similar
