Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contract opportunity is available for a bilingual (Russian/English) school psychologist skilled in telehealth services, located in the Wilkes Barre, PA area. This position requires supporting a young student with cerebral palsy, primarily Russian-speaking and English Language Learner (ELL). The assignment runs from October 20, 2025, through June 5, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations, including Speech, Physical Therapy (PT), and Occupational Therapy (OT) assessments.
- Manage a caseload of one student, registered in October/November.
- Collaborate with a 1:1 paraprofessional trained in feeding, toileting, and repositioning the student; may assist in training or working alongside para support initially.
- Utilize telehealth methods to deliver psychological services effectively.
- Document findings and create evaluation reports as required.
Qualifications:
- Valid school psychologist license.
- Bilingual fluency in Russian and English.
- Experience working with young children, especially those with cerebral palsy or similar disabilities.
- Ability to conduct various evaluations relevant to student needs.
- Familiarity with ELL student challenges and intervention strategies.
- Comfortable providing telehealth support in a school context.
Schedule and Location:
- Full-time hours Monday through Friday, up to 5 hours per week.
- Work performed remotely with potential in-person involvement as needed.
- Location based in the Wilkes Barre, PA region.
