Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Full-time opportunities are available for the 2025-2026 school year in self-contained special education classrooms across elementary, middle, and high school levels. These positions are ideal for Special Education Teachers with experience working in diverse educational settings who are interested in relocating or traveling to the Tampa area. While these roles are not immediate openings, we welcome conversations about future opportunities beginning in the 2026-2027 school year.

The classrooms serve students with a range of disabilities including Emotional Behavior Disorder, Intellectual Disability, and Autism Spectrum Disorder, accommodating varying learning levels and exceptionalities. Each self-contained classroom holds between 4-5 students, supported by behavior specialists and instructional assistants. Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training will be provided to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment.

Key qualifications and experience:

  • Proven experience working in a self-contained special education classroom
  • Strong background in Individualized Education Program (IEP) writing
  • Skilled in conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and developing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
  • Bachelors degree in Exceptional Student Education or a related field

Location:

  • Positions primarily based in the Tampa area, with work requiring travel

Responsibilities include delivering specialized instruction tailored to individual student needs, collaborating with support staff, and maintaining accurate IEP documentation. Teachers will contribute to an inclusive classroom culture fostering student growth and independence.
