Job Description: ACS wants to deliver our products into customers’ hands as smoothly as possible. That’s why we’re looking for a skilled supply chain manager to oversee logistics and distribution. The right candidate will have an excellent problem-solving mindset and rigorous attention to detail, staying organized as they manage a large network of suppliers and distributors. They will have a deep understanding of the supply chain and related tools that streamline transportation and inventory maintenance. We also want a strong communicator with a desire for innovation and transformation.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and report on KPIs.
- Create and manage the company's supply chain strategy
- Plans, manages, and coordinates activities related to sourcing and procurement of goods.
- Develop a qualified supplier list; compare and evaluate offers from various suppliers.
- Purchase goods and enter order details (e.g., suppliers, quantities, prices) into CDK.
- Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers.
- Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses.
- Optimize inventory by maintaining inventory levels (MOQ, Min/Max, etc.), monitor and adjust as needed.
- Organize and manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of warehoused goods.
- Track orders and ensure timely receipts.
- Review the quality of purchased products.
- Manage transportation of goods inbound to ACS, within ACS, and outbound to customers.
- Hire, train, and coach department supervisors (Purchasing, Receiving, Planning, Inventory Management, and Shipping)
- Collaborate with other departments to create coordinated plans for business growth.
- Develop and implement safety guidelines in supply chain areas (e.g., use of trucks, forklifts, etc.)
- Ensure all supply chain processes meet legal requirements and standards.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or relevant field
- 3-5 years working in Supply Chain, Warehousing, and Purchasing roles.
- Preferred Certifications: Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) program.
- Hands-on experience with supply chain software/functionality
- Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company’s success
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
- Good time-management skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating, and liaising with vendors)
- Understanding of supply chain procedures
- Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses
- Negotiation skills
