Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:
\n
• Float pool position across approximately 5 Med/Surg Intermediate/PCU departments
\n• May float to other Metro campuses as needed
\n• Patient ratio of 1:5 across all shifts
\n• 8 weekend shifts required in 6-week schedule period (combination of Friday/Saturday/Sunday)
\n• Holiday shifts and Charge RN assignments as needed per unit
\n• 1-2 years of experience required
\n• 2 years of recent specialty experience with full year in-specialty within past 12 months
\n• No gap in employment greater than 90 days in past year
\n• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
\n• Preferred certifications: ACLS
\n• Required skills: MS/Tele, Telemetry, Cardiac Telemetry, Neuro Stepdown, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath procedures
\n• Experience with sepsis, wound care, ETOH, SI, renal failure, AFIB, GIB, stroke, COVID patients
\n• Preferred skills: sheath removal, feeding tube care, accessing ports, blood product administration, central line management
\n• Must work with specialized equipment: Virtual Nurses, 12 lead EKG, AirVo, Voalte, Omnicell
\n• 12 hours of orientation provided
\n• 3 shifts guaranteed per 13-week contract
\n• No on-call requirements
\n• Maximum 7 days request time off allowed
\n• Must have Kansas and Missouri licenses or compact license at submission
