Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide specialized support within a K-12 school setting. This contract position focuses on delivering essential OT services during the Extended School Year (ESY) program throughout July. Working in Bangor, ME, the role offers a flexible schedule designed to accommodate two days per week with morning hours, allowing therapy services to be delivered effectively to students in need.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students across grades K-12 during ESY.
- Design and implement individualized treatment plans to support student developmental and educational goals.
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to optimize student progress.
- Document therapy sessions and report on student outcomes in compliance with school policies.
- Adapt therapy techniques to address a wide range of student needs in a school environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist licensure.
- Experience working with school-aged children (K-12) in educational settings.
- Familiarity with school-based therapy and ESY program requirements.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to engage colleagues and families.
- Ability to manage a schedule flexibly over July, covering two days a week (options on days).
