Job DescriptionIMMEDIATE JOB OPPORTUNITY FOR THE RIGHT CANDIDATE IN OUR NEWPORT NEWS OFFICE. MUST HAVE OWN TRANSPORTATION AND BE WILLING TO WORK 9-5 FACILITATING GROUP TO CLIENTS WITH SUBSTANCE USE ISSUES. ONLY SERIOUS CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED WHO HAVE A CURRENT CSAC, CSAC-S OR LMHP.
Mental Health Pros./ SMARTS Recovery by VABODE has been helping individuals and families throughout the state of Virginia for 31 years. In partnership with our non-profit organization, Christian Soldiers Charities and Missions, we strive to help those affected the most by poverty, homelessness, domestic violence, and emotional and behavioral needs. Our team of therapeutic providers have a proven track record of successful client outcomes, and we are able to help families and individuals find the healing, support, and success they deserve. VABODE is seeking a certified CSAC or licensed substance abuse group facilitator for an immediate position in our Chesterfield location. We are looking for someone willing to work full-time from 9-5 pm in the Newport News office. Our technologically advanced state-wide healthcare agency has career opportunities for individuals who have experience facilitating ASAM 2.1, 2.5, or 3.1 services. The Substance Abuse Counselor facilitates groups five days per week in three-hour sessions; and completes documentation of services. The average per-group caseload will not exceed 12 clients. Other duties as assigned.

Experience:
- Addiction counseling: 1 year (Required)
Required Certification:
- Certified Substance Abuse Counselor
- Certified Substance Abuse Supervisee
- LMHP
- No CSAC-trainee
Schedule:
- Lead SAIOP group for a total of 3 hours
- (Monday – Friday)
- No weekends
