Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide specialized services in an elementary school setting in Wilkes-Barre, PA. This contract position runs from March 1, 2026, to June 5, 2026, offering a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week.
The specialist will handle approximately 130 evaluations focused on early childhood students aged 4-5 years. This role requires skills and experience in school-based occupational therapy, particularly with young children in an educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations for early childhood students.
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans based on assessment outcomes.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student development.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school district guidelines.
- Communicate progress and provide recommendations for continued support within the school setting.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with credentials applicable to the educational setting.
- Experience working with early childhood populations, preferably in schools.
- Strong assessment and evaluation skills for pediatric clients.
- Ability to manage a high volume of evaluations efficiently.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
