Overview
St. Joseph’s Imaging is seeking Diagnostic Medical Sonographers / Ultrasound Technologists to support our outpatient imaging locations in Liverpool and Camillus, NY. This is an excellent opportunity for sonographers who value a patient-focused environment, consistent outpatient schedules, and a collaborative team culture.

In this role, you will deliver high-quality diagnostic ultrasound services with a strong emphasis on maternal-fetal medicine and obstetrics/gynecology (OB/GYN). You’ll combine technical expertise with compassionate patient care to ensure accurate imaging and a positive experience for every patient we serve.

What You'll Do:

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including obstetric, gynecologic, abdominal, and vascular studies
  • Utilize advanced sonography equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
  • Apply detailed knowledge of anatomy and physiology to support accurate diagnoses
  • Document findings clearly using appropriate medical terminology
  • Maintain strict aseptic technique and adhere to all infection control standards
  • Support maternal-fetal medicine by monitoring fetal development, placental health, and related conditions
  • Explain procedures clearly and compassionately to patients, ensuring comfort and understanding
  • Collaborate with physicians and radiologists to ensure accurate image interpretation and clinical reporting
  • Adhere to all imaging safety protocols and diagnostic radiology standards
  • Maintain complete and accurate patient records in compliance with healthcare regulation

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer / Ultrasound Technologist
  • Strong knowledge of OB/GYN, maternal-fetal medicine, and general anatomy
  • Familiarity with physiology concepts relevant to obstetrics, gynecology, and diagnostic imaging
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and clinical documentation
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain aseptic technique and patient safety standards
  • Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care
  • Ability to operate ultrasound equipment safely and effectively
  • ARDMS certification (or equivalent) preferred or required based on specialty and regulations
