Engineer – Designer (Automation & Robotics)
We’re looking for an Engineer – Designer to join our Automation Systems team and play a key role in designing mechanical systems for industrial robotic solutions. This is a hands-on, project-driven role supporting the full lifecycle of automation system execution.
What You’ll Do:
- Design and detail mechanical hardware for industrial robot systems, including tooling, fixtures, EOAT, and pneumatic/hydraulic devices
- Create system layouts, cable tray/wireway routing, and CNC fixtures
- Develop 2D and 3D designs using AutoCAD and Onshape
- Lead vendor design processes and participate in design reviews
- Collaborate closely with project engineers, project managers, and customers
- Manage multiple design tasks while meeting project budgets and timelines
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of mechanical/automation design experience
- Strong background in robotic automation systems
- Experience with EOAT, fixturing, and pneumatic systems
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Onshape (SolidWorks a plus)
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
