BH is seeking an experience payroll clerk to join their team in the New Orleans area. This individual will work closely with the company's Controller to process weekly payroll for several locations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
- Reconcile payroll reports for accuracy prior to finalization
- Understand proper state and federal taxation laws
- Collecting and entering timesheet data for approximately 100 employees
- Update Payroll records
- Prepare payroll reports
- Resolve Payroll Discrepancies
Requirements:
- Have great verbal and written communication
- Must have good organization, multi-tasking and prioritizing skills
- Be Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to work closely with others in a small team atmosphere
- At least 2 years of previous payroll and accounting related experience
- Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential material
Education & Experience:
- High school graduate
- QuickBooks: 1 year experience
