Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to manage an outpatient retail pharmacy attached to a hospital in Hibbing, MN. This role offers a balance of clinical and managerial responsibilities within a lower volume pharmacy that focuses heavily on discharge medications for hospital patients.
Location: Hibbing, MN
Job Type: Contract (13 weeks)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, day shift (no nights or weekends)
Start Date: ASAP
Responsibilities:
- Verify, fill, and check prescriptions accurately and efficiently
- Provide oversight and guidance to pharmacy technicians
- Consult with healthcare providers regarding medication therapy
- Counsel patients on prescription and over-the-counter medications
- Manage daily pharmacy operations as the working manager
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Licensed Pharmacist with experience as a Pharmacist-in-Charge or Pharmacy Manager
- Strong knowledge of retail pharmacy operations, particularly in a hospital-affiliated setting
- Ability to lead and supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with patients and healthcare providers
- Detail-oriented with a focus on safety and compliance
